My moving experience with MEYER moving was seamless and stress-free. Meyers movers are the most hardworking, professional, and understanding people anyone could hope to hire. My move was completed quickly, efficiently, safely and with great care. I am so thankful to Tom Burke, my estimator, Debra Rivera, my move coordinator and Paul Denzel, my crew chief and his team members. They all exceeded my expectations with their faultless execution and attention to detail. So thankful I chose MEYER moving, they have my highest recommendation

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3950

Myers came highly recommended and loaded my belongings on a trailer 9/23/15 for a move from Shelton, Ct. To Virginia Beach, Va., a 440 mile move, price..over $6000. Delivery of items set for 9/28-9/30.
The "move coordinator" did not keep us informed and was always on voicemail when contact was attempted. Finally we were informed that they "overbooked" and would receive a partial shipment on 9/30.
Our things were unloaded somewhere from the trailer and some items were put in a box truck and delivered 9/30, bins stacked 7 high and we were told they brought what THEY felt we needed and demanded full payment or would not unload. We have talked to many people from Myers and United asking for a refund of some amount because full delivery was not made as per our contract with them, their reply was "sometimes these things happen".
Today is 10/6 and we still have not received the rest of our items.
They keep giving us dates but do not deliver, last promise is for 10/7 so I am suppose to wait around again in case they decide to finally complete this order paid for last month.
Horrible experience, horrible service, attitude of staff inexcusable, Do not know how they can be allowed to do this to a customer without providing compensation for their failure to do their jobs.
Wanted a trouble free move and did not get it, would have done better hiring two winos and a Uhaul !

We used Meyer not only to move us across the country, but also to store our belongings for a year and a half. The team from start to finish was great. We began with Bill Douma, estimator, and he was prompt and helpful with much more than just providing an estimate. Debra Rivera, HHG Admin Assistant/OADA Lead, was our contact to coordinate the move out west. She kept in touch, answered all of our questions thoughtfully and followed through consistently.

The movers in CT were efficient and careful. On the receiving end, Boguslaw of United was highly professional. He and local movers, Mike and Duncan, took great care of our belongings, including protecting the home we moved into.

Without question we would work with these companies again.

I am just blown away to be honest. So is my wife. This was, quite simply, above 1st class service!

From the quote and walk through with Bill, to Jorge and his team, to pick up and delivery we were just so pleased.

To be more specific.

1. Bill, who did the walk through, has been doing this for 30+ years. That just made me feel good - warm inside as they say lol. Bill educated us on best practices, tips and tricks. He informed us of the process and provided the quote the very next morning via email.

2. Jorge, the gentlemen who actually moved us was just great. Articulate, kind and we honestly go the sense that he cared. It was like he was moving his own things. Anything he was unsure on he asked and then handled with care. He could tell I was little apprehensive about my giant tv, theater system, record player, couch and man chair. He joked with me while he did an extra careful wrapping job, it calmed me right down!

3. Protection. Our items were immaculately protected. From the TV's and the couches to our very cherished record player and theater system Jorge made sure nothing bad would happen. We so appreciated this and his manner/tone! (I would try to steal this guy if I owned a moving company!!)

4. The delivery. It wasn't just smooth, it was better than that. Not one thing lost, he even took apart and reinstalled our bed frame. I mean come on that is awesome! Everything was placed in the room it was supposed to and he helped with all the little things!

5. The support. The back up support (Stacy) was just great. Stacy called several times to ensure things were going smoothly. She is newer to the company but was amazing, don't loose her!!

My wife and I can't speak higher of this company; I advise you to take this review seriously as we not only received many quotes but out of every move we've done (6) this was simply an experience above all the rest.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4700

WBM handled our move from NYC to Boston.  Mike Rotunno and his team (Matt, Greg, Loren, Chris) and his team from William B. Meyer did an excellent job, much better than other moving companies I've used in the past.  The team were very considerate of our 7-month old baby and all her items to move them with care and cleanliness.  They kept in constant contact with me via cell/txt message to ensure we'd arrive at the same time my two different storage lockers between NYC and Boston.  They inventoried every item precisely.  Overall we couldn't have asked for a better mover.

Service cost: $1500

The WBM crew headed by Steve Stone did a phenomenal job in packing, crating and moving our belongings over a 3 day period from our home of 33 years to storage. Their expertise, patience and consideration of all of our things was beyond our expectations. Bill Hardin, our salesman, has been great to work with and follows up promptly on all requests and questions. We will be moving into our new home in February and I am confident that our move from storage to Florida will be done with the same level of care and expertise as our move into storage. Definitely a 5 star experience thus far !

I received a highly inaccurate binding estimate from Mr. Bill Harner of Wm. B. Meyer of Stratford, CT, who overestimated my household load by 1724 lbs. Nothing changed between what Mr. Harner surveyed in person in my small apartment and what was subsequently packed. If over-estimated, the difference between the actual weight and the binding estimate is reimbursable to a minimum weight that was greater than my load by 1180 lbs, at a fraction of the cost per lb of the binding estimate. Conversely, Mr. Harner underestimated by the number of boxes and effort required to pack my household, which resulted in an additional packing charge of $367 on top of the binding estimate. This appears to be either gross incompetence on Mr. Harner's part or an intentional error to the company's monetary gain at my expense. The very positive component of this move were the men who actually packed, loaded and unloaded my household. They were timely, professional, polite, careful and meticulous. All items were carefully packed, transported and delivered without damage.

The moving crew showed up early and were great. Courteous and respectful of my furniture and belongings. My move was a bit complicated as I had furniture going into storage and to our new home at the same time, so they were constantly communicating with me about where that item was to go. It was a very long day with the two stops but everything was delivered to the correct location and unloaded without a problem and we finished about an hour earlier than expected. Nothing was damaged.
Bill Harner and Mary Bruner were wonderful to work with, Mary even checked in with me during the move. I would highly recommend Wm. B. Meyer and will use them again.

William B Meyer helped us move cross country and made the entire thing really easy! I’ve always been a do-it-yourself mover, but this time we had corporate relocation and it was AWESOME! We had a lovely coordinator who took care of little details like getting our bike and stroller out of storage early etc. the teams that packed and loaded our things were very careful and courteous, nothing was broken or damaged and arrived in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend William B Meyer, and special shout out to Patti and Debbie for all their help!

I don't even know where to start. This was the BEST moving experience I have EVER had! (CT to FL) It started with Gil who came to the house to give us an estimate; it continued with Mary at the office, who communicated effectively, and gave me peace of mind throughout this otherwise stressful process. And then the actual packing/moving crew.. WOW!! The crew leader "Andrey" was AMAZING!! Super efficient; very professional and friendly, and just a gem of a person! Gus and Mike were also fabulous packing everything with great care. I HIGHLY recommend William B. Meyer for anyone in need of a GREAT moving company. They are the BEST!!

William B. Meyer is a great company.. From my initial contact with the office, sales rep and ending with the mover leaving, the whole process was seamless from Connecticut to Florida. I had gotten 3 quotes, and not only was the boxes included, but I did not need to buy extra insurance as my homeowners would cover any loss - but their was NO loss. Everything arrived safely and organized. We also made a stop at my daughters afterward to give her some stuff, and there was no foul ups of where the boxes belonged. I was soposed how fast they got everything in and out of my house and new apartment. Thank you! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

The company was very professional and accurate with cost to move. A representative came out to the house and we walked through and marked every item. I received an estimate and spoke a few times with another professional on their service end. I was provided a quote which was based on man power and charged it to my credit card. The movers were very polite and also professional and friendly. The day after my move, I received an email stating that they over charged me $350.00 for time anticipated and credited my card. Who does that?? Not many companies I know. I highly recommend William B Meyer.

I had a great experience with William B. Meyer! I had just started a new job and my company selected them as my movers and I couldn't be happier. My moving coordinator, Laura, was always on top of things. She responded to all my emails incredibly quickly, quickly and thoroughly let me know what next step would be, and called to make sure I was aware of the next steps when I missed an email. I had a very quick turnaround for my move (less than a week after connecting with them!) and Laura made sure everything went smoothly. I was really worried I hadn't allowed enough time to make everything work, but Laura and her team made it happen!

The movers themselves were efficient, friendly and professional. All I did the days of my move was show up and let them into my storage unit and them let them into my apt! They even helped me come up with a plan to arrange my furniture in a much smaller space.

Worth it! My husband and I have always been DIY'ers when it comes to moving but knew we needed help moving relocating from NY to Chicago right after our wedding. We are so happy with William B. Meyer. We had heard horror stories of friends and family who had their personal items damaged or lost during moves so we were prepared for the worst and were pleasantly surprised when everything arrived on time and in tact. Both our packing, moving & unpacking crews were extremely efficient, respectful and as helpful as possible in both cities. Would 100% recommend this company to help alleviate the stress that comes with moving.

William B Meyer assisted us in our move from Connecticut to Ohio and made the entire thing trouble-free! Our corporate relocation arranged for Meyer to plan out the move, including helping with getting rid of items we no longer wanted -- or wanted to bring with us. Our coordinator, Laura M. was SUPER! She kept us abreast of everything, including when and how the move would happen. She was readily available by phone or email to answer questions, and offer suggestions. Roy, our mover, was great too -- he took an entire home, full of 22 years worth of memories and items, and packed them up like they were his own. And special mention to WIll, Roy's assistant whose happy-go-lucky attitude made an emotional time easier, also offering great suggestions, knowing we had never moved before. When it came time to deliver our things, Laura told us when to expect them, and there was Roy again to put all of our things in our new home in Ohio. Just a really great experience and I would definitely recommend William B Meyer.
